According to the American Society of Plastic Surgeons, every day in the United States there is an average of one buttock procedure performed every 30 minutes. This number has been on the rise since 2015. Even thou liposuction and tummuy tuck are still the most common, buttock procedures follow closely behind with a 213% augmentation between 2000 and 2017 (ASPS Cosmetic Procedures Trends).

Achieving the most perfect and natural look possible is one of our principles and for this it is important to realize that an attractive buttock does not stand on its own and must be integrated to the back, flanks, hips and thighs as a unit. The modelling with fat from other parts of the body to increase the buttock creating the desired attractive look is known as Buttock augmentation. This technique is sometimes called Brazilian Butt Lift by the American society of plastic surgeons. The use of implants or a combination is also possible. See liposculpture.

We prefer to use the patient’s own fat for our buttock augmentation but in the market you may find offers of fillers such as vitamins, hyaluronic acids or injectable biopolymers which we strongly recommend against, due to the damages that may be produced in the body and to your health. Go to Breasts for more on this topic.

A buttock augmentation is carried out under local anesthesia and sedation. It is done as an outpatient procedure. You will be back to normal activities in approximately two (2) to four (4) weeks' time.
